Relationships

Without Christ
Before Christ my preconceived notion of God prevents me from relating with others.

Egocentric
If after my conversion I continue to hold my preconceived notion I remain unable to relate to God and others. My testimony is inconsistent and can hinder the testimony of others in Christ.

Theocentric
I must look to Christ in order to relate with God and others in Him and my testimony is then consistent with others in Christ.

Tuesday night I dreamt of the same mirrored pyramid configuration with the exact same data.

Seriously.

I noticed that in the "Theocentric" box, there was no "preconceived notion of God".

That says a lot...

Thanks brother. We know how he related to us. He laid down his life for us even while we were his enemies. This is inconsistent with the human minds ability to relate to one another which is often based upon you scratching my back before I scratch yours and so we discover through the cross that he laid down his life with an everlasting love to mankind and this is how we know what love is and how we are called to relate to one another. This is very difficult to accept by way of the first two catagories you mentioned and why the last is the only one possible for us to perceive what grace and truth are. It is good for us to remind ourself of the gospel message in how Jesus Christ laid down his life for us at the cross and rose again to give us this same life and renew our minds in this everday because we are forgetful people so often prone to revert to the first two catagories within the sphere of understanding by way of our flesh.

Grace upon grace,

Brian

It is one reason why Jesus told Peter to get thee behind me Satan because Satan was again starting to listen to the evil one again who was whispering the lie to him again that Jesus was not to go to the cross in Matthew 16. The world the flesh and the devil often deceive even we as believers to again revert to what inhibits us from truly relating to one another. Let us never forget the truth by which we are saved so that we remember that we are to relate to one another outside the sphere of denominations and organizations.

Grace upon grace,

Brian

I like graphics like that, KC. (I must be a nerd too.) The Theocentric one is so beautiful in that we are in a reciprocal siuation and not isolated like we are when we are hung up on ourselves or when we are without Christ.

Thanks for making me see that tonight as a reminder!
