Listen to this!

Hugo has tagged me for a song list.

"List ten songs that you are currently digging. It does not matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they are no good, but they must be songs you are really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artists, and the ten songs in your blog. Then tag five other people to see what they are listening to."

I don’t usually pick songs but rather listen to an artist or group. My love for music spans the decades and I even enjoy a good “swing” band on occasion. I will try to list some of the artist that I have enjoyed over the years.

Led Zeppelin (Yes I’m a led head); Evanescence; Tennessee Ernie Ford (how’s that for diversity?); Sarah McClaughlin; Loreena McKennitt; Pearl Jam; Nirvana; Creed; The Andrews Sisters; Counting Crows; Blind Melon; Metalica; Nickelback; Petra (“Enter In” was perfection!); DC Talk; Bob Dylan; Pink Floyd; Jimi Hendrix; Eric Clapton; James Taylor; Marvin Gay; Genesis; The Doors; The Who; The Rolling Stones; Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers; Stevie Nicks (et al); Heart; Jefferson Airplane/Starship; Van Halen; U2; Jane's Addiction;Guns and Roses; Smashing Pumpkins; Blind Melon; Lenny Kravitz;; Alanis Morisette; Barenaked Ladies and finally Corry would never forgive me if I failed to mention Golden Earring (just to name a few). I also love Old Time Gospel Music.

Now Hugo has tagged most I know here but I’m going to reach out and touch Kris, Ron and Jeff. So how about it you guys? (Participation is optional but I wouldn't tempt the blogger gods!) ;-D

Can I crash this party?

(Only because I was discussing this exact topic with my buddy's teenage son yesterday)

No particular order, list changes weekly:
- Beck
- Jet
- White Stripes
- Evanescence
- Coldplay (of course)
- Johnny Cash (The American Recordings)
- David Crowder
- Black Eyed Peas
- theme music from StupidChurchPeople podcast, (by Josh Sager, postmodern puritan, musical genius)
- Waterdeep

There are a couple live Waterdeep concerts available for free download over at Internet Archive. You have to love a "Christian" band who closes a set with "All Along the Watchtower."

Also, check out "Time is Against Me" at edgeoffaith.com. Eddie's wife mixes electronic music with clips from sermons by Gordon Venturella. This one opens with a scene from "Cool Hand Luke." It's pretty cool.

Dorsey your invitation must have been lost in the mail (grin). I’m really glad you posted and you’ve got me very interested in Waterdeep. I’ll be sure to check out edgeoffaith.com too. I’m a major fan of Steve McQueen and Cool Hand Luke is one of his best films in my opinion.
