Missthepointivism and Igetitist

I’m entertaining the idea of adding two new classifications to my theology. They’re more inclusive than most in that they each have only one basic tenant. Adherents can be well versed and remain devout adherents to any other existing system of theology.

It’s quite easy to determine which classification you belong to. Igetitivism is the belief that your brother is far more import than your understanding. Missthepointivist are convinced that being right is far more important than doing right.

Note: It is very easy for anyone to switch back and forth between these two classifications and I have to constantly check to see which one I’m in. ;-)

I LOVE it. I, too, seem to be able to switch between the two with little effort and no friction.

I guess we all do.

My pastor likes to say that "Righteousness is more important than relationship." (unless that doesn't suit his agenda, then he switches the nouns and hopes no one notices. Aside from me, no one seems to.).

I love new words. You've come up with some new theologies here ... perhaps you should start a seminary. Here's the name:
Igetitandmisthepointivist Seminary of Christian Theology.

Interesting.

Pleae be honest, do you think I am a Missthepointivist?

I do not think I am, but I do not want to fool myself.

Joe in all honesty when I wrote this I said to myself, "sounds a lot like Joe". ;-)

Dorsey when ever there's confusion at the office my boss says "Communication is in reception" or "transmission" depending on which was his part.

Rose, yep and I'll personally teach heresy and hermeneutics. ;-)

DF in all honesty I've never seen you treat anyone with anything less than respect...except for when they fail to take off their shoes at door. (hehe) We all have our convictions and I would never fault you or anyone else for that. I think it's admirable. It isn't obvious, I know, but I usually write to myself. ;-)

Forgiven that is too funny! Thanks for the link. I'm going to take some time and come up with an entry worthy of an encyclopedia! (hehe)

Jeff that is too funny. I'm having to sit on my hands in order to keep from naming the leader of your cult in this reply. (hahaha)

Do I have to be either one?
Whine
whine
WHINE
whine & more whine

whiningism thats what best fits me because I whine at every ism, icktavist that I don't like...ummmwhine.... I can't help it.

Someone pray for me and lay hands on my head.....it hurts...................but make sure you have been baptized completely under water(for at least 90 seconds) and you have at least 5 points to some kind of flower and you shop only at stores not being boycotted and you don't play music in church and by all means please make sure you have told your children that they can not get married until they have finished at least four years of college and a graduate course because God gave us our bodies and made our hormones so strong between 17 and 22 that certainly He intended that we supress them by remaining pure until we have gotten our God given education to make more money to give to those who........tell us who to boycott and tell us why our childrens education should come before any thought of falling in love and becoming one flesh while their hormones are raging...... before you even think about laying one of your unscriptural hands on me.

Kris, I have those kind of headaches occasionally, sometimes they're a pain in the neck. ;-)

Hope today is better brother.

Pia I can wait until you find your voice. Just your visit is nice enough. ;-)

It is better to have been thought of in ridicule than never to have been thought of at all.

(The above is one of my brand new old sayings.)
