That's Just Crazy!

Insanity - “Persistent mental disorder or derangement. No longer in scientific use.”

So insanity no longer has a scientific application; it is only a legal term. I have heard insanity defined as:

“Doing the same things the same way and expecting different results”

Wouldn’t that be just plain crazy? What would cause a person to become this way? Could it be false pride? When a person is certain they know everything they are no longer willing to question what they believe. Everyone acts on what they believe. If we are unwilling to question what we believe because pride says, “I know it all” then our actions will certainly be repetitive and our expectation will remain likewise by virtue of this same knowledge. What’s really crazy is what we do when what we expect fails to occur. We don’t question our belief; we alter our expectation and justify the results. We literally justify our misery. Crazy huh? ;-)

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”
John 16:24 (KJV)

Exactly Nan.

Forgiven it seems that to question anything these days or to admit to a lack of personal knowledge on something is to confess to stupidity. I find the reverse to be true. ;-)
