The Slow Down

Is anyone else feeling the slow down in Bloggersvile? I’ve noticed several bloggers have posted that they’ve decided to blog less and some have taken a break. Others here, myself included, seem to have writers block. It’s not that there’s nothing that I want to post on. I‘ve got several articles I’d like to get out including the definitions. It’s more like being withdrawn. Oh well, I’m sure this is only temporary. Who knows, maybe even this post will break the dry spell. ;-)

My help will cost you some of your sunshine! It's been 17 days. I think you've had enough. Send some North!

There...now you can blog about your greedy friend who wants sunshine and is thinking of only of herself more than how to help you! That should fill up a bunch of pages. :)

KC -

It's post-holiday, short day wintertime season, brother. Who can even think, much lese blog.

No creativity, no words, no motivation. We're all still trying to wrap up all the scraggly details of the year past, much less trying to think of what is to come.

I've been posting humorous things just trying to boost my own down spirits. Serious thought and contemplation are beyond me at the moment, thus the lack of comments here of late.

The visit to the doctor today didn't help with him telling me the broken bone in the foot is healing very "slowly." And it's already been 5 difficult weeks, even with the scooter. Now he's talking about that much time again and probably more.

I don't regret it so much for me, as I can stay busy in here on the omputer puttering around and actually taking care of business, but my poor husband who's already way over burdened since Katrina is lagging even further behind in having the energy to even change clothes when he gets home from work, much less have to escort me around to take care of all of the errands that used to be exclusively mine - like getting groceries, picking up Rxs and the like.

But spring will return and thoughts will be rejuvenated, never fear. Resurrection will occur and we will rejoice.

In the meantime, we can sit and ponder and meditate with God and let Him keep us good company until in His pleasure we can flourish here, still, for ourselves and one another.

Yes, there is only stillness and withdrawal right now, but spring will come soon. So take advantage of the "down" time and look forward to the longer, better days ahead. They will come.

They will come.

I think blogging has become the new fad...so there will be a tendancy for peaks and valleys in the frequency of postings.

Also, I think that many posts create a cause and effect scenario where the writer stirs the reader to respond creating sometimes contentious dialogue.

And yes of course, to post continuously requires time for meditation in the Word. But with approx. 50 million blogsites, there should be something interesting to read out there somewhere?

That does seem to be the case. Maybe its just this time of year.

Since having internet in my bedroom, I am actually posting more often. I have even expanded to a third blog. It occurred to me that if Antonio can devote a whoel blog to his favorite subject and controversy, I sure could.

Every Blessing in Christ

I think yesterday was a day that we all drew the blank. Very weird. Anyways, I think my spell was broken with a very late night of coffee. I posted in a very unconventional form for me, but we'll see how it goes. I think you'll snap out of it soon.

Hi kc. I've noticed that too. I think it is catching, the lull, that is. Now I am going to go write a post.

"There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven- ...A time to be silent and a time to speak..."

Yep, jim, "peaks and valleys"; that's a good way to describe it.
Or how about the bloggers version of the "7-minute lull" that occurs in conversations?

I am truly amazed at how you can inspire others! Look at the responses you got from this one post! And, look at the dialogue you got from the last post! I can say only that I thank God for you!

I admit I decided to blog less. Now, when I'm driving during the day, I call my brother and he tells me what everyone said! Of course, for a guy who's blogging less, I sure seem to be typing a lot.

I have noticed a trend in blogging... there are a number of sites that are publishing little web-boxes that say "Friend of [site name]"... I guess as advertisement or something. Well, not to be outdone, I had to take up the cause... but not for me! Oh no! I've developed a link-box for God Himself! Check it out!

I think the way to say it... well, the best way to put it... what was it I was going to put... wait...

OK, one more time... what I'm trying to say when I sit here and type away... is that... it could be that the words are words but... no, that's not coming out right. Let me try again... well, maybe I shouldn't... :)

I think I have started about four blogs in the last week, and none of them have been worthy of posting... probably a good thing not to post them, so I know what you mean.

Hey Casey,
There is a time to be silent,a time to step away from blogging for family and other things that are more important.

I want to thank you for your prayers and for caring.

Brother Mark

Okay, I am going to be selfish first, and sweet second...

I feel like a lost little girl out on her own for the first time with no wise parents around to turn to for direction.

Okay, now with that out of the way...How are you two doing? Do you both have the horrible cold now? both have pneumonia? I'm so sorry. Hope you get to feeling better really soon.

(Back to selfish mode) I need you guys! Take care of yourselves.

Love ya!

For many this has been a very busy time of year.

I, for one, have slipped a bit in my blogging as other things have been a priority.

But fear not! I think blogging is here to stay and if people don't post as often, well, there are still many blogs yet to discover and read.

Good post!
