Time out...

...for a much needed camping trip! We leave this afternoon for an overnighter. We're trying out some new gear and if God allows we plan to go every weekend this month. That may be a pipe dream but we'll see.

Here are some pictures of where we'll be camping, hiking and fishing. Wanna go? ;-)

Update: This trip was cancelled in order to be available to our youngest so anyone still wishing to go can sign up now for next weekend!

KC,
have a wonderful trip. Beth and I got to go hiking for a few hours in a very large park here in SC on Monday. We loved it. Of course, I had LBB in a backpack for kids, and it about killed me going up those hills with that 30 lbs. of wiggling joy. But it was worth effort and we want to do some more.
Blessings

I hope you have a nice time.

I cannot say camping has much appeal to me. Caravans are nice, though.

God Bless

Camping is poo! You know my views on camping. I can probably provide you with Biblical support for my disdain of camping. I am sure somewhere some minor prophet said something that I can manipulate into saying 'thou shalt not leave they house to stay outdoors without the convenience of a working shower and a toilet!'. Yes, I think Jonah said something like that...

You need a wordpress. I am trying to convert everyone.

Sofyst,
I use to feel that way, but would love to be able to camp... just can't afford it right now.

Jayne, yes... the need for more biking!

KC,
I want more pictures of your trip when you get back...

Blessings

Thanks everyone! Blogger has kept me from responding since Friday but I really appreciate all of your thoughts.

Titus I’m sure LBB will be a great outdoorsman as a result of riding along on your walks. I’m hoping to start taking more pictures this year. I seem to have overlooked that too much lately.

Matthew is a caravan what we refer to as car camping? I think you should try camping with us at least once. ;-)

Adam I think you should go too. You might find camping is poo-fect for yoo. I will admit to being tempted by wordpress and when I decide to take the time to alter my blog again I’ll probably check into it. Of course I will credit you with having led me out of the darkness. ;-)

Jayne I fear you (hehe). Okay actually I envy you and you inspire me to get back into shape. Thx. ;-)

Pech we’ll do just that with our next opportunity. Who knows though, maybe a European caravan is in our future first. Speaking for my part of America, we miss you too but we’re so thankful that God has provided so well. ;-)

Rose and Kitty, thank you both and I hope we really make it next weekend!

Caravans are small mobile homes that are towed by cars.

My parents have owned caravans since they first got married. They have had so many. Their current caravan is like a palace with a towbar. It has several security devices, as they have had two caravans stolen in the past.

Caravans are great for family holidays in the country and are far more comfortable than tents.

Every Blessing in Christ

Kc, you would be proud of me. You know how I don't like camping, right? Well, my bus kids won their contest last Sunday, and guess what the reward was? Yep. A camping trip. Of course, I had to go. I actually enjoyed it. We went on this trail through a waterfall and stuff. It wasn't that bad... well that's because I didn't have to stay overnight!! One baby step at a time, now!

I love the pictures. Is the one of the lake taken when it was raining? It almost looks like that.

Have fun next week and I hope you convince Matthew to come along.
